Burnt mound

This report comprises the final excavation report for a burnt mound found at Barnacragh, Co. Galway during archaeological testing within the lands acquired for the new N6 Galway to Ballinasloe dual carriageway road scheme. The site comprised a spread of burnt mound material, a trough, stake-holes and a pit. Charcoal from the site yielded an Early Bronze Age radiocarbon date.
